Can I return my Flappie?
Yes — you have 30 calendar days from delivery to register your return with us (via the form at flappiedoors.com/returns). What counts is the date you contact us, not the date the device physically reaches our warehouse. The return is strictly conditional on the following: the Flappie must be complete (incl. accessories, cables, and original packaging), fully functional, and in a condition that shows only the handling necessary to inspect it. Returns after completed installation, mounting, or drilling are excluded — even careful installation typically leaves unavoidable traces that make resale impossible. For minor signs of handling, we reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of up to 15 %; for more significant damage, missing parts, or installation marks, the return may be refused.

Who pays for return shipping?
For a change-of-mind return, you cover the shipping costs. In the case of a confirmed defect or shipping damage, we’ll reimburse your documented shipping costs.
How does a return work?
The process always starts with our form at flappiedoors.com/returns. You’ll receive written approval from us with an RMA number (return authorization) — only then do you ship the Flappie back. Shipments sent without prior written approval will not be accepted, will be returned at your cost, and will not be refunded.

Warranty (24 months)
What does the warranty cover?
Your Flappie comes with a 24-month warranty on material and manufacturing defects from the date of delivery. Hardware defects such as sensor or connectivity failures and housing breakage due to production faults are covered. AI features (prey and face recognition) are provided “as is”; recognition accuracy and software performance are not a warranty matter.

How do I report a warranty claim?

Right of Withdrawal (EU customers)
Do I have a statutory right of withdrawal?
Yes — as a customer in Germany or Austria, you have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal from the date you receive the goods. This right and the 30-Day Happiness Guarantee cannot be combined. Please note: if you use the Flappie beyond what is necessary to check its nature, characteristics, and functioning (e.g. installation, mounting, or continued use), we may deduct a corresponding value compensation from the refund amount. You’ll find the details in our Terms of Service (Section A 13).
Refund
How long does the refund take?
Once your return arrives, we inspect the Flappie. Depending on our workload, the inspection can take 2–6 weeks — we’ll let you know as soon as it’s complete. The refund is then issued within 14 days to your original payment method. Depending on the condition of the returned Flappie, the refund may be full, partial, or — in justified cases — refused.

If your Flappie hasn’t been shipped yet and you’d like to cancel your order, email us with your order number at [email protected]. You’ll receive a full refund within 14 days.
