Warranty: What's Covered?Updated 24 days ago
Your Flappie comes with a 24-month warranty from the delivery date. Here's what's covered — and what's not.
What's covered?
The warranty covers material, manufacturing, and assembly defects that affect the function of your Flappie. This includes:
- Sensor or camera failures
- Connectivity issues (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth hardware)
- Flap mechanism defects
- Faulty electronics or housing damage from production errors
- Power adapter issues (provided the included adapter was used)
What's not covered?
- Normal wear and tear, scratches, and cosmetic damage
- Damage from improper installation — e.g. incorrect mounting, wrong power adapter, not following the instructions
- Damage from external factors — drops, water, extreme temperatures, pet damage
- Unauthorised modifications — opening the device, replacing parts, third-party tampering
- AI features: Prey and facial recognition are provided "as is". Detection accuracy and software performance are not covered under warranty — however, the AI is continuously improved through updates and your feedback. → Understanding prey detection
What happens in a warranty case?
We'll decide on the best solution depending on the case:
- Repair — on-site or at our workshop
- Replacement device — if repair isn't possible
- Refund — if neither repair nor replacement is possible
For confirmed warranty claims, we'll reimburse your documented shipping costs.
