⚠️ Safety Warnings & Hazard Information

Read before installation. Keep for future reference.

🟠 General Safety

Not a toy: Flappie is an AI-powered electronic device, not a toy. Do not tamper with the electronics or other components. This device is designed exclusively for use with domestic cats — not wildlife, and not for use outside residential areas.

Child safety: If you have small children, incorporate Flappie into your childproofing measures and always supervise use to prevent potential hazards.

⚠️ Choking hazard — small parts: The device contains small parts such as screws that may pose a choking risk. Keep all components and packaging materials away from small children and pets.

Pet supervision: Monitor your cat during the initial period to ensure safe and comfortable adaptation to Flappie.

Moisture protection: Do not submerge Flappie in water and do not install in locations prone to flooding or splashing.

⚡ Electrical Safety

⚠️ WARNING: Never open or modify the internal components of Flappie. The device is intended for use only with the provided power adapter and must be continuously connected to a certified power source. Do not draw more than 3A. Use only the voltage specified in the technical guidelines. Deviating from these instructions may cause damage, void the warranty, or pose an electrical hazard.

Power supply: Use only the provided power adapter. Other adapters may cause damage and void the warranty. Always connect Flappie to a grounded outlet. Do not attempt your own repairs — contact qualified professionals in case of emergency. Keep the device away from children and pets for safety reasons.

Unusual behavior: If you notice anything unusual — for example, a burning smell — unplug Flappie immediately and contact customer support.

🛠 Installation Safety

Two-person installation: Installation requires two people for safe and proper fitting.

Proper installation: Follow the instructions in the Flappie App or user manual carefully. Incorrect setup may cause product damage or malfunctions. Do not cover sensors or cameras. Do not use oil, tape, or lubricants on the hinges or sensor areas. Do not drill additional holes into Flappie.

Safe location: Install Flappie only in safe, protected locations. Avoid areas with direct access to hazardous zones — such as garages with chemicals, strong sunlight exposure, or near heat sources. Install in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating. Do not point the camera directly at the sun.

🌡 Operating Conditions

Temperature range: Operating temperature is between –20°C and +80°C. Flappie has an integrated heating system to keep the camera ice-free in extreme cold.

🧼 Maintenance

Clean the camera lens regularly with a soft cloth. Use clean water or a mild soap solution. Do not use alcohol, solvents, or cleaning sprays directly on the product. Regularly check mounting screws and the weather seal around the device. Dirt, hair, or leaves can interfere with sensors and cause issues with locking or prey detection.
